This is the place where many westerns and cowboy films were made as the landscape is very similar to that in the wild west. The remaining sets now make up a theme park and you can visit these film sets. There are sometimes shows and shootouts put on. Be sure to check out the saloon where you can see pictures of all the famous actors and musicians who have shot videos here in cluding David Beckham who shot an advert here and Sting who had a music video made here.

Being a sucker for anywhere a bit odd looking that's featured in films I dragged my wife to the business district to check it out. I was not disappointed, it was a cool looking place and I can totally see why it's so popular. And the food I bought my wife as compensation was excellent too

This is a really great day out. You can go on a tour, catch a 4D film screening and see demonstrations of how they create some of the special effects. No trip to LA is really complete without this insight into the industry that made it world famous!

If you are planning a trip to some of the historic landmarks in Egypt, make sure you bring extra cash with you if you want to take photos or film. There is usually a surcharge oh and also, flash photography is very rarely allowed.
