My wife decided sunbathing was all she needed to do on us holidays so I found myself a fisherman who took me out and let me fish all day. It wasn't quite as peaceful as at home because obviously he had a living to make, but I got to eat a fish i'd caught that evening so I was pretty chuffed!

I left the wife and the kids to go here for a day with another guy from our hotel and a local guide who promised wonderful fishing...and he wasn't wrong! A little bit of a trek but totally worth it.

My brother and I went on went on a day's organised fishing trip and it was great. All equipment sorted out for you, a delicious lunch, and plenty of help meant a fun day all round. And the wives could enjoy a day shopping, or whatever it is girls do.

I love the seaside and it was great to learn more about the connection between fishermen and the sea here in this lovely town. Don't forget to walk along the promenade and see the city walls if you go here as well.

A bit of a drive but a fantastic fishing spot, we went near the end of the season and it was pretty quiet and some of the fish were huge! We did have to take our own rods though which may be difficult if you've not got friends there. But definitely recommended.
