Charming little place! Beautiful setting, with some pretty impressive architecture. The old fortifications are majestic and the moorish town with its little streets and lovely buildings is worth the visit alone!

York City Walls

Growing up in the United States, I have always been fascinated with European cities that date back far longer than any of our own, and whenever I get the chance I like to study the things that make them different, such as the old walls that can still be found in them. The ones in York are an excellent example of this phenomenon, and learning about them is a good way to learn about the history of the city itself.
