A cute, cosy French restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh. Both the oysters and the lamb come highly recommended.

The Cruiseur Colbert is a French naval history museum set on a former commissioned ship. There are original photos and models with enough printed history for a self guided tour. Give yourself at least a couple hours to see everything this museum has to offer. The ship is full of stairs and not handicap friendly.

Dubai is the favorite playground of the affluent, and as such, it has some amazing restaurants, and you can find almost any kind of cuisine imaginable. One of my favorites is Pier Chic. While you need a reservation, this restaurant is wonderfully romantic and serves amazing French cuisine and freshly caught sea food.

This is a charming little restaurant that is close to the foreign Embassies in Paris and not far from some of the art galleries and museums. If you think of "French Restaurant," then Le Ferme Saint-Simon is what comes to mind, since it is extremely authentic in its cuisine and presentation. This is a place you would go with a significant other or for a business meeting with a client. It's not a place for the children, so you may want to choose another restaurant if you want to feed the kids. But count on this restaurant to have appropriate wines for your dinner, whether you're ordering meat, fish or fowl. The menu changes seasonally, depending on what is fresh, so you'll be in for a treat. If they have duck breast in orange sauce, I highly recommend it.
