La Lajita Zoo

We made a day of it here, with a lovely picnic lunch in the beautiful gardens then a delicious local meal in La Lajita itself. The zoo we have been to before and is great, pretty animals, lovely parrot shows and the most awesome of all is the camel safaris! A must-do!

La Lajita is a small village on the east/south coast of the island, we hired a car but i think some resorts offer tours

Quad bike Safari

If you're like me then you can just lie and sunbathe all day long, but it is quite nice to see more of the area then just on the bus from the airport. And that's where the quad bikes come in, a fun adrenaline pumping tour of the mountains around the resort, so enjoyable!

Fantasia Golf

Now i'm not a big fan of golf but I just had to recommend this super fun place to everyone, we had an awesome time here. Loads of interesting courses really keeps things rolling along nicely, a real honest family day out.

Amazing Chicago Funhouse Maze

This is a great place to take kids, mine had so much fun they practically didn't want to leave. So much to do, it's easy to take it at your own pace and some of the puzzles are really hard!!

Alfa Horse Riding

We took a day trip out on horses with the lovely people at the Alfa riding centre. The ride was suitable for the kids which was great, we got a snack, and to see the stunning countryside. Lovely experience.
