It's amazing to go and see such a magnificent garden for free! sadly the cherry blossoms were past their best when we went but it was still lovely to walk round the magnificent gardens. Fantastic to feel close to the history of the city rather than stare at bright lights!

This was a delightful spot my mother had heard of. With hundreds of types of cactus and, oddly but it worked, a windmill and some other metally sculptures, the gardens are beautiful in the stark volcanic landscape.

This garden is just fantastic, my girlfriend and I remember it as the best day we had in SF. There are numerous different gardens to explore, lakes and an arboretum, as well as other attractions we didn't fo in to. The japenese tea garden was a particular highlight, and the tea there was just the ticket after our long walk!

Newly created after a fire destroyed the area in 2004, this park is simply gorgeous. With a pretty trail that takes you on an easy tour we were glad of our picnic and especially for the water we took! probably try and go on a cooler day if you can!

If, like me, you love looking round other people's houses, then don't miss the chance to go to this museum, set in one of teh canal houses that look so inviting! With fabulous furniture and decor and a gorgeous garden it certainly won't disappoint.
