Villa Borghese Gardens

Behind the piazza del popolo you can escape to a green leafy world for a bit of relaxation as well as some great views (yes, that does mean a bit of a climb, sorry). my mum and i came here and loved the ambience and the lovely plants, so nice to be able to mix sights with greenery.

Jardin Anglais

My boyfriend and I loved it here, the breeze off the harbourm the views, the pretty landscaping, just perfect for lunch or an afternoon stroll. I loved the flowering clock, a beautiful symbol of the geneva watch industry.

National Gardens

The national gardens are a lush and beauitiful oasis away from the heat of the town. Watch out for glorious birds and stacked-up water turtles!! The odd bit of ruin reminds you where you are if the ducks get so out of control that you start to believe you must be on a duck farm!!

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

It's not often you see a lovely old house and gardens in the USA and i'll wager this is about as close as you can get. Such a grand house, what a lavish lifestyle mr. deering must have lived, and the gardens are lovely too. Huge so be prepared to spend quite some time there! Probably not a great place for kids.

Crandon Park Gardens

This must be the best kept secret in miami, with not even a sign pointing the way to it so make sure you have a good map! The reward is beautiful gardens and lakes witha ridiculous number of amazing birds. Watch out got the remaing of the old zoo that was there before too!
