The quintessential trip when you're in Edinburgh and it won't dissapoint! Although you might want to consider a second mortgage if you're going with the whole family!!

The highlight of a trip here is the building itself, large, showy and beautiful. You can also learn about the symbolism of architecture in DC (washington monument anyone...?) if you can stop gawping long enough.

Wow, what an impressive building! So much to see, we were glad we'd bought a great guide book that told us so many details and things to look out for, but we also saw some people on a guided tour which might also be a good way to dig a little deeper.

Amazing complex, built by the Mughal Empire where today you can see the inside (mostly now stripped of precious things), plus a lovely tea room and a small museum.

A very very impressive building! The dome is a feat of engineering and the rest isn't much less spectacular! You have to go on a guided tour and we could only get one in Spanish but that really just meant we could spend ages gawping!
