We came here for a day when we visited SA for the World Cup and loved it so much we came back. Lovely lovely lovely. Amazing beaches, delectable food, amazing views and plenty to do to keep the whole family occupied.

A great place to base a more independent holiday on this island, which, for all its charms, is overrun with package holidays. Here though you can head to the lovely beach, enjoy some real greek cuisine,or take one of the delightful day trips!

The Alexander the Great Restaurant may sound a little bit like the name of a Monty Python skit, but don't let the name fool you. This restaurant is fabulous. The food is wonderful, the service is top notch and the ambiance is warm and inviting. This family owned and operated restaurant serves the best food in Athens, but arguably the best food in all of Greece! The restaurant is across the street from the imperial hotel in a not so great part of Athens, but seek this place out. More than likely you will dine here more than once when you are on your holiday instead of trying another place because it is that good!
