Grauman's Chinese Theatre

posted by SuzyQ on 21 March 2009 at 01:01

Grauman's Chinese Theatre opened in 1927 and was the most spectacular motion picture theatre opening in all of Hollywood history. Besides having an ornate, Chinese ediface, the theatre is best known for the and and foot imprints of Hollywood's most famous film and movie stars. The first actress and actor to put their footprints in cement were Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, in 1927. The most recent stars to leave an impression were Will Smith and Michael Caine. The theater is still showing first-run films, but the main attraction is the footprints and handprints in the cement.
