We found ourselves gravititating towards this square most evenings becasuse it was an easy place to get to to start exploring athens by night and that fun holiday activity of searching for a place to eat that will suit everyone! The architecture here is pretty imposing and the changing of the guards is reasonably exciting if you like that sort of thing!

Most people visit the Acropolis but to get the full experience you should also take advantage of your ticket price offering you admission to the agora too, which was the political centre of ancient athens. The Temple of Hephaestus is the highlight but don't forget to look at the plan showing what everything was to really get the full picture.

My girlfriend and I spent a very pleasant afternoon on a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, exploring this square and its surroundings, which show the history of the british rule as well as some of the other influences. Watch out for the huge sultan abdul samad building, now the malaysian high court and the tudor-inspired royal selangor club designed to make the british feel at home.

This is a really interesting sight. Its located about 30km outside Bangkok and has been described as the world's largest open air museum. It's a recreation of the great buildings and monuments of ancient Siam arranged in the shape of the kingdom, with each monument in its correct place geographically. A really interesting day excursion.

galdar is in the shadow of a volcano suspiciouly like a miniature mount teide of tenerife, but don't let that put you off! This square is the highlight of the town, with lovely trees including the oldest dragon tree on the island, and some wonderful architecture in the form of iglesia de santiago de los caballeros, and casa consistorial. Loved sitting here and watching to world go by.
