Sunrise Hotel

This is a great little hotel has its own stretch of private beach. A good swimming pool and plenty of decent features. It's a little way out of town, which for us was a real asset though there might be people more intent on being more in the thick of things.

Hotel Lancelot

This is a great little hotel, round the corner from some of the top attractions in the city. In fact, you could see the Coliseum out of the window. The vibe is very casual and friendly making it feel like you're a guest in someone's house as opposed to a paying guest in a hotel (the service is still impecable and the place is beyond spotless). Highly recommended

Back Bay Hotel

THis hotel is housed in the former police Head quarters and retains the architecture of that establishment in its entirety. As a result it has a really grand feeling which definitely made our stay. The service was top notch. wonderful service, massive bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms etc.

We went to Goa in the off season and I kept feeling guilty like I was robbing people purely because it was all so ridiculously cheap. THe Leela was wonderful, we hyad it almost to ourselves and enjoyed excellent service, some of the best food I've ever had and a beautiful tropical garden environs. I can imagine that in peak season the prices are probably quite heinous but it was fantastically cheap off season.
