Vera Playa

I was lucky enough to be within walking distance of this lovely long beach on my last holiday to Almeria. The beach is ridiculously long so you can always find somewhere quiet if you want it, but there are bars and hangouts too if you fancy some company or mixing with other people.

Cosmo's World Theme Park

My husband had to go to KL for business over the holidays so we all went, kids and all. This was their favourite place to go and I was pleased as I could just sit and relax a bit. Great rides, really fun and you just can't believe how huge it is, let alone that it's also inside!

Castle of the Knights of St. John

Amazing medieval castle built by the Venetians, really great place to go and visit to get a sense of one of the erstwhile rulers of the island. Really well preserved I couldn't imagine attacking it without any sort of machine power! The museum is interesting too.

Stromovka Park

We decided to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre by heading here for the day. The park is so pretty, and there's lots to explore with follys and other old buildings. Nearby too are the planetarium and the exhibition centre (vystaviste) which are amusing places to visit if the weather gets a bit inclement.

It's so difficult to choose a favourite attraction in Venice but I think this has to be mine. A beautiful church, a myriad of stunning paintings and the graves of titian amd canova.
