Steeped in history, the Reichstag is once more home to Germany's parliament after the division of Berlin, and the building has been restored to its former glory...plus the addition of a stunning glass dome. We walked to the top of the dome and loved every minute of seeing this fantastic place.

In Berlin for a study/holiday I made great use of this wonderful library and it was a total privilege to do so. Amazingly, this collection was split along with the rest of Berlin after WWII!

I didn't know this until I went but this is meant to be one of the most important art museums in Europe, documenting development of painting on the continent. Set in fabulous buildings of the palace of the count of alvor, the convent of santo alberto and the chapel too, you can also enjoy these. The paintings and the rest of the collection including sculptures and other bits are really worth most of your attention though!
