Jeep Trip

We joined an organised jeep tour of the area and we got to snorkel at this secluded spot, see some mayan ruins and go into the jungle. Absolutely amazing, a memorable day out.

I cannot believe how lovely Cancun is! These ruins were in the middle of some pretty dense jungle and it was amazing to come out and find the ruins. The pyramid and mural inside were my top bit here.

Reserva Natural Tres Rios

This is a stunning park with a beautiful jungle and mangroves and amazing reefs. We went here for the day and took a hike as well as going snorkelling and it was just wonderful.

Las Aguilas Jungle Park

It's so lovely here! Absolutely huge gardens with beautiful tropical plants I could have walked about all day, but there were also shows to watch, with the eagle show being the most popular with all of us. The penguins are cute though, you just wonder if they know it's so hot there!!

Jungle Walk

If you're after some proper nature then look no further than the Forestry Research Institute of Malaysia, where you can trek the jungle or for the ultimate experience take the forest canopy walk, a 20-min walk on rope bridges in the tree tops. Beautiful!
