I got injured on a sharp rock near the end of my holiday and so couldn't dive any more, and decided to head out to the marine biology museum to learn more about the amazing creatures i'd been looking at all this time. Great people, really interesting place, almost didn't make me miss a day in the water!

My children and I absoluteld loved our boat ride on the underwater catamaran. So much to look out for, especially once you get to the island, and if you choose to go ashore then that's really pretty too, loads of birds to see.

This is an unusual aquarium with a hands on area where you can touch marine life, the aquariums' answer to a petting zoo. The whole place is informative and interactive. You will learn something new and enjoy it!

Opened in 1998, the Oceanario is what many people would call an acquarium. It is one of the best aquatic exhibits around and provides a connection between Lisbon and the oceans. The permanent exhibits are fascinating and there are a number of rotating exhibits (check the schedule before your visit). This is a place to take the family to learn about conservation and preservation. The Oceanario is open every day, including special hours on Christmas and New Years.
