Berardo Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art

During my last trip to Lisbon, the concierge at the hotel told me about a new art museum that had opened recently that I was unaware of, the Berardo Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. For being such a new museum, they have an amazing collection, and includes everything from Picasso to Warhol. For the art lover, there is no better place to go in the city.

Egon Schiele Art Centrum

If you are interested in modern art, that's the place to be, if you ever come to Cesky Krumlov. It's situated in the old downtown of the city. It got a collection of the work of Egon Schiele as well as changing exhibitions of mordern art.

Federation Square

Love it, or loathe it, Federation Square has become a part of Melbourne as much as the famous clocks of Flinders Street station has. It has become a meeting place for thousands, a tourist attraction, filled with galleries, restaurants, bars and an area for live events. Definately check out the unique architecture of the magnificant building, which incorperates Melbourne's city-scape of colours, materials and mood.

Tate Modern

Ok, everyone who lives in London knows about Tate Modern, but it is one of the great modern art museums of the world. With a dazzling permanent collection and regular exhibitions. Check out the Turbine Hall (at entrance), there is always something gigantic and interesting going on. At the moment they have this giant slide.

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

You must check out this fantastic museum of modern art - with works by Bacon, Giacometti, Picasso and Warhol set in this crazy plantation style house. Wander round the garden, it has spectacular views across the Swedish sound and hidden art treasures like Henry Moore + a giant hill to roll down - the kids love it!
