Johannesburg Art Gallery

This free gallery has a pretty good collection, certainly worth a visit if you find yourself nearby. I loved the contemporary section although the older bits did leave me a little cold.

Lovely lovely place, so many great works to see. I loved the modern wing with its avant garde architecture and sculpture garden. But the top part for me was the imporessionist paintings. Wow.

Super-historic as well as super-modern. Get there early to get to the top of the cupola and allow p.l.e.n.t.y of time to go through security. The mirrors are a great touch, mad but interesting. Wonderful!

Museu d'Art Espanyol Contemporani

We had a day in Palma before heading out to our resort and we ended up here, in this art museum. Wonderful collection and not a bad looking building either.
