The Banknote Museum

This museum puts on display the numerous types of currency that Greece has used from 1822 to the present which is about 2000 items. Not only can you see the past types of currency here, but you also get to see how they are made and watermarked. Since this museum is free to attend, I would suggest checking it out and seeing for yourself the history of Greece through currency.

The Agora was the place where ancient Greeks would gather daily to socialize, talk about politics and shop their necessities. Therefore in the museum of the Ancient Agora which is a reproduction of the stoa you can find many interesting items used in the everyday life of Ancient Greeks.

Musée National du Bardo

Superb museum in a magical setting that houses artefacts from prehistoric to Roman to Islamic times. People have lived in this area for over 40,000 years and it was fantastic to see these objects in the country they were found

Acropolis

Even if you only have half a day in Athens, the Acropolis is a must-see. It was built in abbout 440BC and dominates the Athens skyline. It takes your breath away.
