Famous as a crossing point from West to East when the wall was up, today you can see the small hut where big decisions were made, as well as be photographed by the sign that marked the territories. Small but really interesting.

Amazing place, so much to see! It's great to learn a little more about the island, as i've been going to it on holiday for years and been ignorant really. I didn't even know who El Greco was, although i'd heard references to him. Go here and get educated!!

The Minoan culture is so fascinating, and this museum really highlights this. We went the day after we went to Knossos and you can really picture how it might have all fitted into the palace, although the bull-head drinking vessels are a bit scary!!

In such a beach-focused place you wouldn't really expect to find one of the top archaeological museums in the world, but this is really something! Definitely worth dragging yourself away from the beach for a couple of hours for.

An amazing selection of archaeological treats, definitely worth visiting although it's not one of the star attractions that get mentioned all the time. Very interesting indeed.
