The Musueum of Science and Industry lives in a palatial looking building and has some great exhibits. Despite the name sounding a bit dry, it is actually a great place to take kids, the central hall especially is really good fun, with massive world war II bombers hanging from the ceiling, steam engines and other modern vehicles.

This is the largest museum of Mexican or latino culture anywhere in the US - and I think might be the only officially recognised one... It sits on Harrison Park in an almost entirely latino part of town. There are apparently 6,000 artefacts and objects on display here including paintings, photography, textiles and some really great folk art. Its well worth a look in

Much more than an ode to Omar Sharif, although you'll learn all you could ever wish to know about him here, this is a stunning complex with beauty everywhere, I could have stayed for hours and hours.

Really interesting little place showing how wine-making has evolved. My uncle runs a vineyard in france and he was totally intrigued by some of the old technology he saw and was taking loads of pictures! Mmmm and the wine's really good too!!

One of the finest archaeological museums in the world, it certainly didn't disappoint his archaeology buff! Plenty to see and learn from this excellent collection.
