Loggerhead Turtles

Not being a morning person I was somewhat put out when all my friends decided we had to be at the beach at dawn to try and spot a turtle...but it was actually totally worth it (not something i say often) when we saw several making their way back out to sea! peace and nature!

United States Botanic Garden

This lovely garden on the national mall is packed full of lovely exhibits, really beautiful flowers and plants and gorgeous buildings, a real treat.

Golden Gate Park

This garden is just fantastic, my girlfriend and I remember it as the best day we had in SF. There are numerous different gardens to explore, lakes and an arboretum, as well as other attractions we didn't fo in to. The japenese tea garden was a particular highlight, and the tea there was just the ticket after our long walk!

Crete Botanical Gardens

Newly created after a fire destroyed the area in 2004, this park is simply gorgeous. With a pretty trail that takes you on an easy tour we were glad of our picnic and especially for the water we took! probably try and go on a cooler day if you can!

Samaria Gorge

This is a beautiful national park. I've been a few times and just enjoyed a wander, but this time my boyfriend and I decided to walk all the wy down the gorge itself. it was a lovely walk but not the easiest so be prepared! Although the boat trip at the end back to hora skafion was lovely!
