We had an amazing day out here that the whole family enjoyed from young to old. The open plan enclosures really give you a happy feeling for the animals and I was overjoyed to finally see a platypus in real life as they were my favourite animal as a child, although i'd only ever seen them in pictures.

A real treat! So many butterflies in so many beautiful colours. I'd only every been to stuffy and cramped butterfly parks before so the beautiful flowers, the landscaping and above all the space to see and enjoy the butterflies was great.

My sister and our families spent a very happy week mostly camped out on this beach, and swimming in the sea. It's lovely, plenty of space and you can let the kids run off and still see them, giving them freedom and you some sense of control!

My boyfriend and I loved this zoo. They seem to have arranged things much better here, grouping the animals by geographic region and there are no cages, just other barriers if the animals shouldn't mix. A great way to see them without worrying about the small cage sizes or lonely lifestyle! The baby rhino is one of the cutest things i've ever seen but I guess he'll grow :(
