Opera

We had to catch some Opera at the world heritage site of the opera house! We saw a performance in the Opera Theatre with drinks in the bar overlooking th Harbour beforehand and I have to say it was the most special memory of my trip.

I was lucky enough to be treated to a trip to the opera here when we were on holiday in Athens a couple of months back and it was a really memorable experience. The building itself is lovely and the acoustics are amazing, you could hear everything so perfectly.

This theatre is simply stunning, the amazing opulence is enough to make you tear your eyes away from the opera! Get there nice and early to make sure you've got plenty of time to admire it! I think you can also take a dedicated tour if you'd prefer.

Opera Garnier

Also known as the Palais Opera, it was such a privilege to go and see a ballet here, although also slightly terrifying as the underground lake and someone being killed by a chandelier were inspiration for the phantom of the opera. I can't describe how lovely the building is, let's just say it's regarded as one of the masterpieces of the neo-baroque style.
