Samaria Gorge

This 18km gorge -- said to be the longest in Europe -- offers beautiful scenery and a strenuous trek. All the work pays off, though -- the trail ends at the sea!

The trail begins in Omalos and ends in Agia Roumeli.

Newbury Street

posted by doyerdog on 8 June 2009 at 03:15

Newbury Street is a must for visitors to Boston. First of all, I should let you know that this comment is coming from a non-shopper. And granted that is one of the major highlights of this destination, but believe me that is not ALL this place has to offer. The people-watching is a must-see with a total melting pot of both locals and domestic and foreign tourists alike. However, there’s also ample food and dessert options, plus a few drinking holes too. To me the icing on the cake was the ebullient park that Newbury Street feeds into. Just a perfect place to unwind and take a load off after putting some good mileage on the feet.

This is a really great zoo that has some good exhibits and shows. It has a fun and relaxing family atmosphere and we loved the animals. Would love to return. The sky safari was really awesome.

Curleys Trout Fishery

posted by triplecrown on 7 May 2009 at 23:19

This is a large out of the way reservoir with excellent fishing. You can fish from the shore or go out on a floating pontoon. You can also rent boats if you like. It is a beautiful and relaxing setting.
