Lane Cove National Park

A lovely quiet park that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, not the middle of the suburbs. Great to get a change to see some real bushland around the creek-and meet some water dragons too eek! YOu can follow the Great North Walk from here too, but I just didn't have the shoes for it!

where, when, how, web
North Sydney, chatswood region. you can get the bus of the train, but the buses go closer

This huge park kept the whole family so entertaine we went back the next day to carry on exploring! The first day we explored the planetarium and walked about a bit but hiring bikes is definitely the way to go, we saw so much and were astonished to find this is where the HOLLYWOOD sign is! It's HUGE!!!!

Allan Gardens

A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The gardens are lovely for a peacuful walk and to see some native plant and tree species and the exquisite Palm House conservatory reminded me a lot of Kew Gardens in London, and the plants inside are fabulous.

I just loved this quirky and fun park. The different area are so intersting and the artwork is grea, all round a great place to hang out. The rock, a huge bit of glacial rock reassembled in the park is simply immense!

Parque Arroyo de la Represa

A really great place to relax when you've had enough of the beach or the hustle and bustle of the town. There are pretty little landscaped bits to walk in, a lake (artificial i believe) and plenty of space for the kids to run around.

where, when, how, web
avenida Doctor Maíz Viñals, easy walk from the marina area, just go up the road by the marbella playa sa campsite
