St Kilda Promenade

This promenade was right by our hotel and yes we were a little way from the centre it did mean we could walk this palm-fringed route whenever we wanted. A very lovely spot and you can even see penguins which is amazing!

What a lovely place! Perfect for treating the kids there is so much to see and do here, but make sure you pack lunch if you want to save a bit of cash. The underwater penguin viewing area was the biggest hit of the day with my little ones.

Lovely spot for a stroll, and at the end you can look out onto the rocks and spot the penguins! My sister has eagle eyes and with her help we saw several!

Wildlife Habitat

At the Flamingo Hotel you'd expect...flamingoes? and pengiuns? Probably not but here they are just waiting to be visited, along with other birds too, and terrapins and fish. My favourite place to just drop in and chill out. As an added bonus if you stay up all night you can see them being fed at 8.25 in the morning.

Really lovely gardens and a good selection fo animals form cute to quirky. I love penguins and it was easy just to sit and watch them for ages. And at the end of the day the bar was a good place to rest a bit before heading home!
