Basilica of Bom Jesus

Lovely basilica but what impressed me the most were the surrealist artworks by Dom Martin and photographs by Benoy Behl. The whole thing made for a rounded and well-crafted trip out and I could relax with that smug feeling of seeing a great sight!

The Marguelies Collection

I think we were lucky to see this as they close at the end of May for a new set of installations and we were there just then! Amazing collection of installations, photography and sculpture really showcasing what art is about today.

As a photography buff I couldn't pass up the chance to see some of the old soviet photography and I wasn't disappointed. There are plenty of more modern pieces and exhibitions too but it was the historical side of things that really interested me.

Burj Nahar

As an avid photographer I was hoping for some great shots of both the old and the new in Dubai. New is really easy to find but the old less so, and this was my favourite. It's an old watchtower from when the city was guarded and the gardens surrounding it are stunning.
