We went to this former fishing port to see the windmills and it made for a beautiful trip out. We saw the lovely countryside as well as the fantastic mills and ate some lovely food to boot.

So refresing on a city break to be able to head to the sea for the evening! Go to the Maremagnum on the wooden bridge from Las Ramblas for the best in modern entertainment including an IMAX cinema.

My friend and I ended up on holiday in Marbella because of the cheap price and we really needed to get away, and were very impressed with such a small place having such great entertainment. The port was the best of all, with loads of places to eat and enjoy yourself of and evening.

We ate here several evenings and went for sophisticated afternoon drinks too and were really impressed every time, no matter where we went. Service was great and the seafood was thoroughly excellent.

I went to Alicante over Christmas and the port/harbourside area was my favourite hangout, things are going on, there's people about and there's some great bars and restaurants too! Just a shame it wasn't quite warm enough for day-long sunbathing sessions!
