If you can escape the interminable operators you will have a graet time here! My boys were transfixed and the railway is very impressive indeed! AND it's housed in a castle!!

Musee d'Orsay

This old railway station is a completely beautiful museum. I love the varity in the collection and the place isn't so huge you feel overwhelmed, and so you can take time to really enjoy all the separate parts. Best bit was the monets but it's really a close call.

Mount Rainer Scenic Railroad

A bit out of the way at an hour and a half drive from Seattle but thin was a real hit with my boys. An old steam train takes you on a beautiful journey to mineral lake, where we had a lovely picnic and a bit of skimming before travelling back. a great day out, really fun.

Estación de Atocha

This stylish old railway station was first built in 1851 and named the 'Station of Noon'. A fire later destroyed a large part of its structure and it was rebuilt in iron. The splendid architecture is very grand and the beautiful building is generally considered a work of art. You'll love it here.
