One of my favorite places to visit in all of Rome is the Pantheon. It is one of the oldest churches in the entire city, and in addition to its rich history, I am also a big Dan Brown fan, and it is one of the most visible and accessible of the Roman land marks used in Angels and Demons, and it really helped bring the book to life.

My recent visit to Rome was well worth the trip and it was made even more special with my stay at the Grand Hotel Palatino. The hotel is located very well with all the major attractions such as the Collosium, being close to it. The staffs are very friendly and helpful with a high sense of duty. The breakfast was very good with plenty of varieties to choose from. The rooms were comfortable and clean with the housekeeping staff doing a decent job in maintaining the rooms. The room was very economically priced and is definitely worth the money spent.

While Rome has many great restaurants, I really enjoy La Taverna dei Monti when I am visiting the city. While it is a bit touristy, they have everything that tourists think of when they think of an Italian restaurant, fresh food, and a friendly staff, and décor right out of Roman Holiday.

Lovely hotel in walking distance of Termini Station located in the historic center of Rome. Exquisite interior design that echos its aristocratic palace history. Enjoy the best gastronomic dining Rome has to offer, a main service of Leon's Place.

When I was staying in Rome for two nights before my last cruise, I was lucky enough to have booked the Intercontinental de la Ville. Even though we arrived late (around midnight) the concierge was able to recommend a nearby restaurant that was still open and serving dinner, and the front desk gave us a complimentary upgrade on our room. The staff was all incredibly friendly, and the location at the top of the Spanish Steps was perfect.
