Still with that 'fresh out of the box' feel after its recent refurbishment, this is a fantastic museum. Loads to see and learn!

Fossil Park

Prehistory Flinstones like forest in the middle of old european charm. Love the juxtapostion and contrast. Over 300 million year old "stumps" and trees really gives a tourist perspective.

Toni's Restaurant

Pizza and pasta mega-restaurant. I never thought i would have the best pizza of my life in the U.K. Steak was a little rubbery, try and avoid it if you can. Seafood seemed very fresh as i had a few of my wife's shrimp. Chees pizza is to die for.

National Gallery of Scotland

The National Gallery of Scotland, while perhaps a smaller gallery than others, it is a wonderful secondary attraction one must visit in Edinburgh. It is a warm and inviting museum that provides an excellent break from some of the more strenuous tourist attractions (i.e. Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's Seat). The museum has a wide range of art, including a collection of specifically Scottish art. Being a fan of impressionist art, they have a small collection, but what they lack in size is more than made up for in quality, with some very nice works from Monet and Van Gogh. In summary, if you only have a day to spend in Edinburgh, there are other attractions that you should spend your time; however, for a multi-day visit, this is a stop that is well-worth a visit.
