Don't try and find this!! It's so sunken now that it's definitely not worth the effort required to track it down. All you can see is a vague shape from above, not the majestic wreck that ran aground that you see in the photos!!

Amazing day trip, we didn't go on many as most places involve a lot of travel, but this was only an hour, beautiful on the way too. The island is stunning and the boat guys stoppped at a couple of amazing reefs and a shipwreck on the way too!

We booked through our hotel and they arranged a meeting place, which was on the jetty of the hotel itself.

On a small remote beach on the west coast of Fuerteventura lies the wreck of a ship. The American Star. It takes a fair amount of time to get there but once you catch your first glimpse of the wreck, you are somehow inexorably drawn to the beach where she lies. It is both exciting and emotive.

Keen to put my scuba back into practise, I joined up with a scuba club that were giving lessons, and after a few days felt up to going out on a dive to the zenobia wreck, one of the best wreck dives in the world, and i was really astonished at the size of the ship and the diverse life it now supports!
