Campo dei Fiori

This market is a couple of centuries old and still feels fairly authentic, despite the profusion of tourists. You can buy fruit, vegetables, cheese and cured meats here as well as household goods and it runs - I believe - every day of the week except Sundays. At night, you can get a meal in one of the Campo's restaurants and hit the tiles in some of Rome's liveliest bars.

Pioneer Gifts

The neon cowboy outside Pioneer Gifts is fairly iconic, which is strange because this is just a gift shop. A massive, tacky gift shop! That said, you'll find pretty much any souvenir you might want here. Be sure to check it out.

M&M World

posted by cburney on 26 October 2010 at 11:25

This has to be seen to be believed! A four storey department store devoted entirely to M&Ms. I would challenge anyone not to feel nauseous by the time they leave. They don't just sell the sweets, they sell pretty much everything you could want, with an M&M logo printed on it. This really is an exercise in stretching a concept to its breaking point. Like so much of Vegas, its worth a visit if only for the bizarreness of the whole thing.

Desert Passage Aladdin

Having been to Marakech the previous summer, I wasn't really sure what to think of this shopping mall. But you really can't fault them for the effort they put into this place. The theme is strictly Arabian with old market style streets. You might even catch a thunderstorm in here! The shops are quite diverse and some are actually affordable.

Forum Caesar's Palace

If ancient Rome did shopping malls... This is about the kitschest place in Town, and in a town like Las Vegas that's really saying something. It's kitted out entirely in faux marble with spiral staircases and cloudy sky frescoes. One day I'll win big in one of the casinos and be able to actually afford something here, but until that day its worth going just to see.
