One of my favorite ways to experience any countryside is by train, and in Palma Majorca the best way to do that is the Soller Railway. The compartments are open to the outdoors letting you feel the warmth of the sun, and the breeze on your face as you experience the beautiful countryside.

it is so pleasant to walk across the Waterloo Bridge, have a drink or supper and go to a concert, play or ballet at the National Theater. The venue is superb for all kinds of events. Pricing is very fair, and productions are top line. The gift shops include resources for professionals as well as souvenirs. Backstage tours are available daily. The front halls and foyers include free exhibitions and sight seeing over the Thames.

I decided to take my family on something very memorable when we were in Tenerife, and when I saw the advertisement for Submarine Safaris, I knew that was the perfect thing. It was very cool to actually submerge underwater in a safari, even if the sub was very cramped. The kids both loved it and talked about it for weeks.

The first time I toured Prague, I was shocked to see a familiar structure, if slightly smaller than I had seen it before, the Eiffel Tower. Apparently, for the Prague Exposition of 1891, they built a smaller version of the famous Parisian landmark. I really enjoyed climbing up to the top of it for a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

Being an American, I have always been fascinated with funiculars, as there are so few of them in the United States. That is why when I was in Lisbon, I made a point of checking out the Elevador da Gloria. It was an amazing view of the city, and is great for photographs.
