I've never been so extraordinay in my life! This is a vast desert preserve dotted with lush areas teeming with palm trees and life thanks to the life giving water from the San Andreas fault. Wonderful and memorable day out.

A stunning and picturesque little village, showcasing the other side of the algerve's charms, away from the beaches. The local springs are a particular highlight.

Lovely day out, we took a picnic to these springs and just relaxed to the sound of the water for most of the day, just reading and sunbathing. Lovely.

I have to say this was the best part of my trip to Sharm, I felt so relaxed at the end and my stressful bad skin cleared up quicker than normal too. Excellent.

I left my husband to the casinos having given up getting a word of sense out of him and discovered the true Las Vegas at this lovely preserve. Educating about the history of the springs that made the area attractive to settlers as well as exploring sustainability and the future of scarce water resources, along with a lovely garden and some sweet animals this was just the tonic i needed.
