Not for the faint of heart (or those shy of exercise) but this was my favourite spot in the whole city. The gardens and the amazing houses built on the steep slope, and the view you get when you make it to the top are all memorable.

It might seem like a bit of an effort to get to this beach (and even more to leave it) but it's definitely worth it, stunning beach and the majority of people it seems are daunted by the stairs and go elsewhere so it's normally quiet too, my favourite beach in Lagos.

aka the perfect way to tire your kids out...the 294 steps to the top really are gruelling, but the way down just kills you! The views from the top and the calmness of the younger family members really makes it worthwhile though! And it's free!

This is quite a ways from central Hong Kong but it is well worth the trip. Buddhas don't get any bigger than this. It took more than ten years to build. It is made entirely of metal and consists of a steel framework covered by steel and bronze "skin," as well as over one ton of gold amalgam. There are 268 steps to get to the Buddha.
