aka Olympos, this is a lovely park and if you seek out the beach you can have a lovely isolated time sunbathing and swimming.

If you've got enough time in your holiday to Berlin to make a day trip outside the city then you should head to the forest, particularly in hot weather, it's a favourite with locals. Teufelsee in a great little bathing lake, there's plenty to explore and loads of tempting paths for walking and cycling. Die Brucke Museum is also there if you need a culture fix too, featuring expressionist works galore.

Fishing Tour

My husband isn't one for sitting on the beach and doing nothing but working on his tan, so we decided to go on this fishing tour which was perfect. He enjoyed the fishing and chatting with the guides about the types of fish and I loved sunbathing, snorkelling and generally looking down into the beautiful waters at the fish and the reefs.

Maharashtra Coast

This is a relatively unspoilt area of coast and is still mainly dominated by small quaint fishing villages. You can get a ferry to Mandhura and then get local transport from there. I'd especially recommend heading to Kolad where the lake is beautifully clean and you can hire a rowing boat. There is some great birdlife to be seen and there are a few places where you can stay on the lake.
