I'd seen pictures but wasn't prepared for the scale of this temple! Huge reclining Buddha, beautiful grounds, it's the stuff exotic holidays are made for.

Wow, I never knew there was a real Egyptian Temple in Madrid!! Shipped over in pieces when it was removed from Egypt to escape the Aswan High Dam flooding, it now occupies a stunning spot boasting views of the gardens towards the Palacio Real.

Unbelievably intricate temple, although I was surprised to learn that it was only built in 1904, they look so old so I guess that's the style. Beautiful.
