Six Flags Great America

A great family-oriented day out, so much stuff to do, games to play and rides to go on our two younger boys were worn out by home time and we had the most peaceful evening that night! And our teenage daughter and her friend even enjoyed it too! Must be all the fear, some of the rides are really terrifying!

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Without a shadow of a doubt the best theme park i've been to, the sheer number and variety of high-adrenaline rides was just what I was hoping for from the reputation of the park. It is expensive, and quite a trek out there but you're not going to be in LA every day are you?

The Water Park

This is a large water park that is a great way to spend the day cooling off. It is unexpected to find such a theme park in this location that seems to be all about the natural beauty and relaxation of the location. But our family was ready for something exhilarating and fun. They do not allow you to bring in food, but they have reasonably priced food inside the park. They have all the tubes and flotation devices you will need and it is a big park, so even when it is crowded, we did not wait that long for the rides. They have a free shuttle in season that picks up from the hotels in the area.

Universal's Island of Adventure

This is a Thrill park - not tame like some of the Disney Parks. There are about 7 BIG time thrill rides. We took our 8 year old on the Hulk - first ride of the trip. Ok - not the best choice, but now he can't wait to get back! We enjoyed the family time here, and hope to make a trip back again soon, now that our kids are all in their teens!
