Ulster Folk and Transport Museum

Since the Belfast Museum is currently undergoing renovations, the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum has become Belfast's museum of choice to visit. Voted the "Museum of the Year," it is interesting because it shows the lifestyle and traditions of the people of Northern Ireland over the years. There is an open air museum a well as the folk galleries. It showcases the farming communities and occupations of the people of the area and how things have changed over time. The other part of the museum centers on transportation, with a collection ranging from horse-drawn carriages to modern, Irish-built motor cars. This is an interesting place for families to spend the day.
