This huge compex kept us all entertained for the whole day and we even contemplated going back for more another day but we hit Disney instead. You can head to the amusement park, shop, eat and go to the spa all in the same place. What fun!!

Vivarium

My sister is a reptile fan so she chose for us to visit this Vivarium. The sheer variety of snakes was astonishing and I can't ever get over that fear I get even though I know there's glass between us! The best bit was the crocodiles.

The Cactus Gardens

This beautiful garden was the last work for artist Cesar Manrique and it was completed in 1991. His intention was not educational, but aesthetic and he used the semiburied volcanic monoliths for the main sculptures of the garden. Located in the area of Mala and Guatiza, the garden has about 10,000 different types of cactus and is a hot tourist site. Relax, visit the gift shop and have a terrace lunch, all while taking in the beauty of this restored volcanic quarry.
