Sao Bras de Alportel

A small village just inland from Faro, and worth a day trip to enjoy the few sights and delicious food the village has to offer, but also to walk around the surrounding hills for amazing views wherever you go.

It's only about half an hour's drive and you'll feel transported to a different world!

Lycian Way

The original plan was to walk as much as possible of this famous path, but mild injury prevented us doing more than a bit each day then getting back in the car and resting up. Stunning though, a really enjoyable way to spend your holiday.

My absolute favourte spot in Benidorm, great views and always fun people to talk to, especially as the sun is setting. Definitey come up here at least once on your holiday in town.

Santa Justa Elevator

The funiculars are cool but this is a whole nother level, really fun and exciting, especially if you take the spiral staircase from the top of the lift to the terrace, for amazing views you didn't have to do hardly any work for! Amazing that this was built in 1902 as was originally poered by steam!

Mount Benacantil

This mountain dominates Alicante and you can see the 'moor's face' in it when you look from el postiguet beach which is why the moor's face is a popular image in the town. Climbing to the top you'll get great views and a chance to explore the awesome castle.
