If you've not been to a black beach it really is amazing, totally surreal but one of the coolest sights!! Caution, the sand gets REALLY hot though!

Nothing to do with golf, which came as a surprise to me, but instead an astonishingly green pool in a volcanic crater! Check out Los Hervideros too, caves and blow holes nearby in the rock formed by lava flows over the years. Be sure to go to the sea-side of these caves to watch the waves crashing in.

This beautiful garden was the last work for artist Cesar Manrique and it was completed in 1991. His intention was not educational, but aesthetic and he used the semiburied volcanic monoliths for the main sculptures of the garden. Located in the area of Mala and Guatiza, the garden has about 10,000 different types of cactus and is a hot tourist site. Relax, visit the gift shop and have a terrace lunch, all while taking in the beauty of this restored volcanic quarry.
