We went out for a day on the boat whale watching and it was great, so exciting! You can get a lovely tan whilst people point out to you these majestic creatures!

What a fantastic trip, the guys really know their stuff and we saw quite a lot of whales, which surprised be beacuse my bad luck normally kicks in on such things! Really comfy ship and great day out.

Wild Whales Vancouver is located across from the Lobster Man on Grainville Island. The price is a bit steep, but for most people this is a once in a lifetime experience. You will have a choice of 2 type of boats. One is glass enclosed and the other is an open boat. They leave at different times so check the schedule. The weather in Vancouver and out on the water can change quite quickly so wear layers of clothes. When we were out it got really cold and many people were buying hats on board the ship (they sell them, but no food). Pack a light lunch because you will only be served a granola bar and some water. Do to the fact that they do not know how long it will take to find the whales and other factors there is no set time table to return. On board the tour guides are all marine biologist I believe. The guide gives you tons of information about the whales you get to see and see them you will.
