Santa Cruz Market

We went on a excursion to Santa Cruz from Playa de las Americas and were surprised to find such great markets, as well as enjoying the journey there, so nice to see the island not rushing to or from the airport! The perfect place to pick up some souvenirs, or a treat for yourself as there's great jewellery and loads of traditional crafts.

We drove but I think there are also organised tours, the markets are pretty central i think

El Medano Market

On Saturday the market comes to El Medano. I thought this was the best place to pick up souvenirs from Tenerife, as stalls sell lots of interesting local crafts

We stumbled across this shop in Santa Cruz which exclusively sells hand made items including ceramics, embroidery, wickerwork and textiles. This is the best place on the island to shop for authentic souvenirs.
