My favourite part of Tokyo, hands down. This is what all cities should be like, with beautiful buildings and public works of art everywhere! And you can shop and eat at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo right there too.

SHOPPING! Oh the shops! This road is knows as Tokyo's Fifth Avenue and it's easy to see why, there's so many fabulous shops and as an added bonus some of the buildings are architectural modernist masterpieces! The Dior shop is amazing, it looks like there's curtains all obver the outside. A great place to come for really nice souvenirs too, head for the Oriental Bazaar.

Tokyo's oldest temple is well worth visiting, for its grandeur and beuty as well as for spiritual reasons, or to go to the festival in spring. The thunder gate was amazon, as was the huge paper lantern inside. GReat food on the nakamise-dori, the road to the temple too.

Asakusa is probably Tokyo's number one tourist attraction and it really shows! If you can deal with the amount of snap happy tourists are crawling round the complex, it's definitely worth it. The approach is via Nakamise shopping street which is lined with souvenir shops- a bit tacky in my opinion. Once inside the complex though, there are many interesting places to see- the Senso ji Temple being the most significant, also the Shinto shrine and Nakamise shopping street.
