I was so privileged to get to go here in Cherry Blossom season the previous time I went to Tokyo, this time I wasn't so fortunate but it's still a great place to go, and you can even get a downloadable mp3 played guide so this time I learned even more!!

Whenever we go on holiday my girlfriend and I always end up gravitating towards the parks for some space and reflection. This park is small but peaceful, and as an added bonus has the Studio Ghibli Museum in it, lovely to see all the displays there.

Chatting to a couple of local girls they mentionad that this is a great place to go on a sunday as loads of street performers and bands show up...and it was true! i had a great day with my rug, book and a few of my circus toys to get in on the act when i fancied, but mostly i just sat back and watched the other people do their thing. It took a bit of time to find a good spot since the park is quite big but it's worth it. Really enjoyable.

Ueno Park is a wonderful break from the fast pace of central Tokyo. There are some statues here including one of the last Samurai- Saigo Takamura, there is a great zoo and there are lots of museums including the national museum and national science museum. The park itself is really beautiful and a lovely spot to chill out or have a picnic.
