National Zoo

What a lovely Zoo, I can't believe it's free! We had a lovely day out here just walking around, eating our lunch and enjoying the shows, a perfect family trip out of th city centre.

United States Botanic Garden

This lovely garden on the national mall is packed full of lovely exhibits, really beautiful flowers and plants and gorgeous buildings, a real treat.

Saturday Morning at the National

This is a free event, so show up early if you want to get in. designed to get the whole family into theatre the performance varies week to week, we saw a delightful ballet one week and a magic show the next on our fortnight holiday! really enjoyable, even with the early start!
