Flying Between Glasgow and Italy

You can fly direct from Glasgow to several of Italy's most famous cities. Ryanair offer cheap rates to airports including Pisa, Milan and Rome, all of which usually only take around two or three hours, so you could be staring out across the Colosseum or watching a match at the San Siro by sundown.

Along with these direct services, there are also plenty of indirect flights to all corners of Italy. British Airways can take you to Venice, Genoa and Naples in anything between six and nine hours, while KLM can take you Venice or Verona. To find the right route for you, be sure to consult our flight search tool.

Alternative Airports

If none of the Glasgow flights suit your timetable, there are plenty of alternatives. Ryanair offer numerous direct flights from nearby Edinburgh, to destinations such as Pisa, Cagliari and Rome, while easyJet fly straight to Milan and Naples. All of these journeys should take between two and three hours.

Getting Cheap Flights to Italy

The best time to visit Italy is usually around the Autumn period, between October and December. As the temperatures are cooler than the summer, the demand for flights decreases, meaning you can get a much cheaper deal on your journey. So long as you are prompt and smart with your booking.

You can also enjoy Italy's beautiful tourist spots without jostling through crowds of holidaymakers, just make sure you pack a coat for your Italian holiday.
